Nice little find today

A friend came over today and had a bunch of knives from cleaning out a tenents home.Sadly the guy had passed away.It was a box of old hunters and various knives from cheap China junk to old Western fixed and folders.I ended up buying the Westerns and a couple of Camillus.One of the Westerns.At least i'm fairly certain it was made my Western was this 8" fixed blade and sheath.It is marked Western Auto!I've never seen one and wondered if someone else has?I worked at a Western Auto in the late 60's.My first job at a whopping $1.00 an hour.We sold Queen knives and a few others maybe,but didn't have anything branded like this.I thought it was cool so i probably overpaid on it. yes,it will clean up nice.Just haven't gotten to it yet.

Off topic a little. My favorite .22 rifle - Marlin #60 from the 1960s- is stamped Western Auto "Revelation".

I've never seen one stamped Western Auto either. Thanks for the pics !

I bought my first gun when I was 16(in 1976) at a Western Auto.
