Well, the old colonel, my 82 year old father, took a big tumble at his lake house yesterday and broke a couple fingers and did a class 10 face plant to boot. I ended up with him in the emergency room until 8:00 pm or so and didn't get him back to the lake until late. So I drank some of his cheap liquor and spent the night to keep an eye on him. At least I got to make a pot of coffee early and watch the sun come up over the lake. Watchin' Old Glory wave and playin' around with the Bear Cub ain't a bad way to start the day. The old man is resting and OK for now but older parents are a never ending adventure.
