I received this knife from a buddy of mine at work. I had given him a Queen Rancher, as he has a couple of horses, about a year ago. Last week he gave me this beauty. He said a girl bought this for him in Germany 20 years ago! I really like the this knife, it's built heavy duty. No blade play what so ever, nice walk and talk also.

Can you please tell me what it says on the tang stamp? I am wanting a Boker, I seem to dig knives about 20 yrs. old or so with a quality maker, so I like to be educated so I can discern the vintage. Thanks! BTW- Nice knife!

Nice looking knife. I think I have a similar knife or two. I was also under the impression that they were made in the 1980s but I don't have any definitive evidence. Will see if I can find anything.

Thanks for the pics. I know with Case, you can get a range of years (narrowing down era) by looking at the logo configuration. My worst fear is buying a Magnum. I really do not want to spend money on knock offs, or remakes resting on the name of the originals. It may be just a psychological thing, but I like to think the quality was higher and the profiteering was lower in days past. If I find anything out I will post.
