***SPF***This is a very nice, old Randall Model #11 Alaskan Skinner. It has been used and sharpened but it is still in nice shape for as old as it is. It is from the late '60's.
It has nice finger grooves in the handle that fit most hands very well but I was told years ago that they didn't appear to be made by Randall. I checked with Gary Randall several years ago and he said that they could have been made by Randall.
It has a stacked leather handle, nickel silver guard and aluminum butt plate. It also has very nice thumb serrations on the spine. The blade is Randall's great 01 forged steel. This knife is as tight as a brand new one one!
It also comes with a nice, custom Mike Sastre, River City Sheaths concealex sheath that Mike made up for it years ago and it's a perfect fit.
I admit these pictures are lousy but they are the best I could do with my old digital camera. Let me tell you folks, they make the knife appear worse than it actually looks in person!
The Randall stamp side does have some small pits but again, they look worse in the pictures than they actually are. ALSO, the right side picture looks like the guard and blade have a lot of pits and scratches but actually they don't! They only have some very LIGHT SURFACE scratches and there are no pits or deep scratches at all! Must have been my fingerprints or whatever.
This is a great knife for a collector or someone that wants to own a very nice Randall user.
