Anyone see the recent CRK Facebook post? There is a link to a nice article interviewing Anne Reeve. It's a lovely article with a few talking points of the recent happenings and future vision of CRK. It makes me :) to read that there is such optimism, energy, and passion at CRK still to this day and they intend to keep it that way. I look forward to following CRK for a long time!

She also states that Chris is still CRK's sole designer even though he hasn't been in daily operations with the company for the better part of 2 years. I thought that was nice to learn since there has been some discussion around here wondering if Chris designed the small and/or large Inkosi. Sounds like he is behind both.

cool little article. enjoyed the read, thanks for sharing!

Chris Reeve is not the only CRK designer, as evidenced by the Ti-lock and others. The author musn't know much about CRK knives. The piece reads like a PR line.

I may be mistaken but didn't Chris design the Ti-lock knife aside from the lock? It does read somewhat like a PR line, but that's what companies going through a transition do...relate to the public so we know what's going on. Nothing wrong with that.

He was also involved in the design of the locking mechanism with G&G Hawk....

Some people just have to drop a turd to make themselves feel better sometimes.

It is a PR line, that is the whole purpose of it. It's apparent she wanted to publicly address an important issue and control the narrative. SOP. What is the alternative? Forum threads?

Well the website is called "knifenews". Not very news-like if they just regurgitate the company PR.

CRK could have addressed the original BF thread that brought the subject up during Blade.

Per the Ti-lock, at the very least besides the lock, the handle and pocket clip scream Hawk design not Chris Reeve. That's what makes it better than a sebenza :) The clip design is used by Boker on a Hawk design and that knife, the Grip-lok, has a blade shape similar to the Ti-lock.

The Green Beret is an obvious Harsey design, although it also has elements of Chris' design in it as well.

I agree. There was nothing new in there.

If Chris did design the large Inkosi that's fine. There is always a disconnect between ideal design and final implementation. I have no idea why Chris would have closed the pockets on the small Inkosi then left them open on the large. There are a few other little details like the chamfer on the finger groves on the large being identical to the 25 rather than the Inkosi. I guess the news between the lines is Chris is not overseeing the implementation of his designs nor the quality control anymore.

I'd like to add (in case anyone here didn't already know), Anne is an exceptionally kind and gracious person. If you ever have the occasion to engage her in conversation or correspondence, you will quickly see what I mean. I wish her and Timmy ;) all the best as they guide Chris Reeve Knives into the future.

God bless and good luck.
