I posted in another thread regarding how nice it is to have one of each pattern in a collecton. I started picking these up because I love that chestnut bone. I have considered selling the patterns I don't like , but never do. The reason is that whenever I read a post about a certain pattern I often reach for that pattern for a hands on reference. The "set" I have is the case brothers shield in chestnut bone. These were out I believe in 03-04. It covers most patterns. the ones they didn't do I have in other handle materials. If someone notices a pattern which I am missing I would like to know.

You picked a nicely designed series in my opinion, wudnme! Great bone, and shields!

OH OK, those Chestnut bones. The one I had mentioned in the other thread were the ones from 1999-2000 which were, or seemed to be a darker variety bone and had case shields as I recall. And those were in CV steel. I still have one in a Canoe pattern around here somewhere. But they were not in near the pattern offerings as what you have there. Those are sweet indeed!. Thanks for sharing those.. Incidentally, I wouldn't sell them either.:)

Wow! That's a very cool set.

I bought a Case Brothers chestnut bone sowbelly a few months ago and have been carrying it again the last couple of days. It's a really nice knife. The color of the scales is great and I love the jigging. (I think there's a name for that specific style of jigging, but I can't remember.)

I wouldn't sell any individual knives out of the set either. It must be really handy to have all those patterns as a reference... and also satisfying to have a complete collection. :)

Great knives, that bone I have the 6347 in that series.

Would have loved one of those in CV!
