Nicest knife you've seen in the wild?

What's the nicest knife you've seen a stranger carry in public? I'm talking about someone you've never met, and not at a gun or knife show.

For me, probably a ZT0400. I work in a retail store and saw the clip so I asked the guy about it. Other than that, mostly Gerber or no-name China stuff.

Masamoto yanagi 270mm.

my headchef had a honyaki masamoto and let me cut a few slices, OMG honyaki OMG. Th3 first $5000 I get will be used for a honyaki yanagi.

I was behind a guy in line at Zaxbys the other day, and I normally would never even say anything but I just had to. "Hey buddy. Is that a Todd Begg Bodega?" It was, and he let me flip it a few times. Pretty sweet. He seemed shocked that I recognized it. I let him check out my brous division. People were giving both of us strange looks. Like I said, I would normally NEVER say anything. What are the chances though right?

I notice pocket clips from time to time. For the most part I only see no-names, Gerber, SOG, or Kershaw.

A guy I work with has a reground "midlength" endura. A class mate of mine in at school noticed that I was looking at knives online and we talked for a while, he was carrying a ZT302. I felt slightly under-dressed, I was carrying a Tenacious at the time.

I'm going to assume blade show doesn't count haha. I'd say the nicest I've seen was a benchmade 940 lol.

I haven't seen any really nice knives on strangers. Some of my mates are into knives and have some really cool stuff.

By far, the most popular brand down here is Victorinox. Most folks that carry a knife, carry a SAK. I've seen the odd Spyderco (Police, Endura, etc.), a couple of Buck 110s, and an old Cold Steel or two.

My boss carries a Kershaw Leek and quite honestly, that's the best knife I've seen in public. However, I will say that since I started collecting knives, the guys I hang out with are now carrying Esee, Benchmade & Spyderco.

I was at a restaurant and a guy sitting at the table next to me had a small sebenza in is pocket, and I did as well! Haha

I spotted a Microtech clip on the pocket of a janitor at a local shopping center.

The best I've seen in the wild is a Kershaw or Spyderco.
In my local gun shop a guy wanted to see my Strider SnG.
While he was looking at it another guy butted in and told us that Striders where made by Buck.

Of course I had to search this on google - I found some with his White Steel for under $300 - so I am sure I am not finding the ones you are aware of, but the one I saw was outstanding!

That is cool.

I never find anyone with a really nice knife. Recently I was in a pistol training course and had my ZT0600 with me. One of the fellows noticed that I had a knife and asked me about it.

I of course shared the ZT goodness with him, and then the class became a show and tell for knives.

One fellow had a Benchmade Mini-Griptilian, and the instructor had an older Kershaw that was WELL used. (edit - it was an older speed bump).

The next day I brought a couple more notable knives, and my DMT diafold and put a shaving sharp edge on the Kershaw (the model escapes me...).

It was the coolest knife sharing experience I have had.

Notably, one of the fellows said that he was into knives and produced a made in China tactical looking folder. I really need to get this guy something of quality.

best

I don't recall seeing any in the wild. Then again, I don't look at people's pockets and my memory is awful.

I did see a guy around the corner from me going to town on some branches with a Bolo yesterday though.

I mostly see Victorinox, Kershaw, and Leatherman. Besides those, nicest I've seen was a BM Mini-Grip, but it was a guy working at a shooting range. Out in the "wild", the best I saw was a Leek. He was carrying it with a Paraframe, one in each pocket because his job apparently has him carrying something in one hand usually and his hands can't reach the pocket on his other side because of his belly.

Don't see too many knives in the wild. The ones I do appear to be Chinese cheapies that barely are staying together. Every now and then a more traditional pocket knife. Those aren't my expertise haha so I usually don't ask what they are carrying.

I have not seen many knives in the wild. Most of what I have see though are mostly Kershaw (I am pretty sure it was a Leek).

I think the best I've seen are a Buck Vantage, Kershaw Zing and Benchmade Griptilian.

If I ever see anyone with a Bodega clip you bet I'm gonna ask about it!
