If you wanna get your hands on the best leather rig available (I've owned them all at this point) hit up duramax duramax

He'll make you something you can pass down. The man is a magician with leather, and I hope I'm half this good one day.

The price point for what you get in hand is objectively nicer than anything anyone's ever sent me, and far nicer than anything I've tried to make so far.

Also he's the friendliest maker I've met on this website by far. A down to earth guy that'll actually have a conversation with you. It's not just a price tag to him.

Btw not doing this to disparage any other makers (I am one).. I'm hypebeasting a guy that deserves more recognition for his amazing work. Again.. hit him up. 16603040974326808138952938373364.jpg16603041278641496980719022216193.jpg16603041589446766217659193539740.jpg16603042461813182812138957569079.jpg16603042722446910275657377978231.jpg16603043587351064626346243527936.jpg16603044285616095736265619419251.jpg

Very nice, thanks for sharing. Now you've gone and done it, I'm going to have to give his work a try soon. I've been following what he's been producing for a while now and I will say that it does look to be very well done from what I see. That said, can you elaborate on why you feel it is superior for the money? I'm big on price to performance and it seems with leather you usually either get very meh budget stuff or super pricey, fancy and stunningly beautiful sheaths that are almost too nice to use. I definitely want something in the middle that's got some aesthetic mixed with high level of functional and protection.

I say that because he thinks of the little details. Like the kydex or leather tip protector thing for one, If you look at the welt on the inside.. it rides the shape of the blade and guard so it literally fits that specific knife like a glove, he does a perfect sand job on edges, everything is held together by removable hardware and thread so if at any point you needed to maintain it you could without breaking everything down to scraps, on that note he backs the screw with these plastic backers you never see on anyone else's sheaths I think is a cool aesthetic as well as keeps the screw from digging into the leather when tightened down. Not sure if he's handstiching these but it looks like it... and it's immaculate. Feels like he's using 8-10oz bridal leather as well.. lots of stuff to like on these. I can assure you won't be disappointed. His prices aren't the best and they aren't the worst either.. but you're gonna get a sheath that's the same quality or better as the most expensive you can find.

Thank you for all the kind words , very much appreciated !!!!! So glad everything made it there ok ๐Ÿ‘ Very happy to hear how much you like them ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

I still just consider myself a hobby craftsman. As time goes on I am hopefully improving with my leather work. I truly appreciate feedback as it helps me with this craft. Letโ€™s me know just how Iโ€™m doing with this stuff.

There are so many very talented craftsman here and Iโ€™d say most have forgotten more than I know, but Iโ€™m learning.

They look to be very nice sheaths. But I just don't care for all the hardware on a leather sheath.

Thank you

I understand where you are coming from. The hardware thing kinda became my style (?) with my sheaths. I do make sheaths without all the hardware. One great thing about this hobby , so many talented craftsman out there. That you are certain to find something you like ๐Ÿ‘

We should never stop learning. I'm more than happy my man. You did an immaculate job.

That being said from what I see you have very little left to master.. if anything. Another reason to like you. Humility.
