Thanks to AKRAVEN, a total gentleman and unabashed pack rat, this article from more than 10 yrs ago was located. It discusses Col. Rowe's contribution to our country, in part by founding the S.E.R.E. school. It also includes his 3 "layer" survival gear set-up.

I am so grateful to AKRAVEN, as I had the original magazine for years until my better 1/2 tossed it! Can you believe he had it, found it, copied and sent it? ...One of the "GOOD", for sure.

I am willing to send it to anyone who wants it... I will cover copying, just send a SASE, marked PERSONAL and specify if you want the entire article or just the inset with the kit contents.

I was just a young whiper snapper when my uncle introduced me to him. They had pulled some bush time in Vietnam together. I was unfortunately too young to appreciate what this great man had to offer in conversation. I can remember that my uncle was really hurt to hear of the his assassination in the Philippines.

His book 5yrs To Freedom, while not a manual has alot to offer a person interested in survival.
