Nick Wheeler, damascus and stag hunter

Awesome knife! While not being much of a damascus fan, that one is superb. Along with the Fisk recently posted, simply two of the finest damascus hunters I have seen in awhile.

I saw that one the other day and purt near had a seizure. I love the way that the buttcap matches the stag. Great score! I think you may have coined a new phrase... "getting nicked" :D

Beautiful knife. I'm going to hazard a guess that it won't be the last time you "get nicked" either.

Cheers,

Roger

Mongo, I am having the seizure now, the Wheeler hunter has arrived.

Great job Nick! I am struggling to find a fault with it, we may have to send this one off to Danbo for his eagle eyed analysis, but then again, I doubt it would ever make it back to me.

Perhaps someone who is more capable than I could put one of the pictures in this thread. Thanks.

Dude,

Do NOT let Danbo get his mits on this puppy. :p

Poo on you guys. I like MY damascus and stag Wheeler hunter better anyway! So nanny nanny boo boo. :D

Nick's work gets better and better. Its hard improving on near-perfection, I'm sure !:)

I spoke to another knifemaker lately who said that it seems the clipped point blade style seen on Nick's recent work is now the accepted "Hunter" pattern. Hmmm... might hold Nick partly responsible for that. ;) :D Good work as usual, Nick, and what a great get. Jason.

Danbo, don't ever let me get MY mits... I mean, ahem, you ARE bringing that with you to Little Rock, aren't you?

Roger

Yes, that's the one. And, if it makes you happy, I'll bring it to Little Rock. Only 3 weeks away!

:)
