Okay, it seems a lot of us like the idea of starting a running thread featuring the works of one specific maker...

Well, I met this one some years ago at one of our local knife shows... and was smitten (if that's the proper word? LOL!!!) with his work.. and he even turned out to be a nice guy!

And I asked him to make me a knife... here are a few pics (I hope!)...

And since the second pic has a smaller piece... well, when I picked the Fighter up, he had this little personal bowie on the table - and I fell in love with it! (And that's the word for it!!!) And the reason I fell in love with it is 'cause it looks so much like one I already had by G. Rodewald... which is the other one in the pic!)

Hey Joe,

Thanks for posting a pic of that little utility. A couple years ago I was looking for someone to make a knife of my design. Nick contacted me and I sent him a sketch and that knife was the result. It has seen a lot of use the last couple years and aside from some scratches, pretty much looks the same. Hands down my favorite knife I own.

Unfortunately, I can't add any pics of my own in this thread quite yet. Things should change in the next couple months as I have a fighter nearing completion and will be picking something up in Atlanta.


I also have a little scandi-ground utility that I should get a pic of someday. Another well used blade.

Blademan... So that's where that piece went! You got a real winner there! And like I said, if I can afford to bug Nick one more time, a variation on yours is what I'll be looking to have built... Thanks for sharing that one so long ago!
