I just observed a couple of days before that the knives in my traditional collection have some roundish small spots on the bolsters, maybe similar to those found on brass?
Some have them more pronounced, some have more on some bolsters, while some only have many on one bolster. It's not a problem, can only be spotted right with a magnifying glass, otherwise they look like small points on the finish.
But I'm just curious, have you encountered this, and if so, what is it? A tarnish perhaps, as those were just staying there?
I took some pics, but it's hard to capture them. That knife is a peanut, so actually pretty small.
