Does the felt(?) go all the way to the tip? Also is the material organic or inorganic. My concern being moisture and odor retention.

The sheath is lined with veg. tanned goat (two halves in the pic). The throat is lined with felt, I assume wool but don't know for sure. The felt could be treated with oil or ?
