I was wondering if ne one here knows how to make the pure nicotine concentrate from cigarettes? I plna to use them near the head of my spear for either spear fishing or taking down large game.

My father-in-law used a commercially prepared version as a pesticide for edge-rows and around the barn. Look up '4-tin', I think that was the brand name. Of course you have to have a federal license to buy it, but that doesn't take much time, just check with a county extension office. The down side to that is you have to learn a bunch of stuff you may never need, like calculating sprayer concentrations etc.

¥My best guess, since you want to eat the animal/fish is to just dilute tobacco in water instead of a solvent like ethanol. Be careful, nicotine is indeed a poison.

You need to boil the smokes. The lees water you have, the more concentrated it should be. Check the Anarchist's Cookbook. It should have a detailed process.

You soak chewing tobacco or pipe tobacco in warm water for a day or two, then heat the mixture up to near boiling. then strain out the tobacco chunks and heat the leftover water on low heat until it becomes a sticky paste, and that's your poison. (Don't even TOUCH the stuff with your bare hands because you can poison yourself that way, it can enter your body through your pores. Use a plastic spoon and protective gloves to put the stuff into a container. Takes down big game fast or slow, depending on how much you put onto the head of your projectile. But if you get the animal in a good spot you really wouldn't need something that can contaminate your food to take it down.) If you do use this stuff, cut out and discard the area the projectile went into, or you can end up poisoning your own as$ and others who might be eating it.

Black Leaf 40 is a commercial insecticide, I belive it is still available easily at garden stores. It is 40% nicotine. You should look into this deeply to understand how the poison works, so you don't poison yourself.
