As may be able to make out this little Spyrderco Kopa is in need of some TLC. Question is, what would you use to restore this pretty little knife back to or as close to factory standard.

The blade is in perfect shape its the steel on the two edges of the scales which pose the biggest impact or rather lack of that I am interested in restoring, along with treating the quince wood, its beautiful pattern wise but very very dull. Would bees wax be the best wood feed or should I look for something lighter to penetrate the tight grain.
Many thanks in advance B.F'ers

The bolsters need to be hand sanded and properly buffed. Wax the handles with paste wax. If they are scratched you can sand them with 600 grit paper, then buff with 0000 steel wool. This should be done before polishing the bolsters.

Bill DeShivs, thankyou for your input. Could I pry more information from you RE:polishing the steel. The dent marks produce a noticeable physical feedback when handled which means they are fairly deep; will I require diamond abrasive paste to polish after the roughing if so what would I need in microns to produce the almost mirror flawless polish.

By the time you buy sandpaper in varying grits, a buffing wheel for your grinder, buffing compound, paste wax, and perfect the use of same-it would be cheaper to send the knife to a professional who can do it right the first time.
There are several people here who can do it for you, myself included.
