Night Guard refinishes?

I'm interested in the Smith & Wesson Night Guard, paticulary the 315. However, they are butt ugly, and I don't like owning ugly guns. It is possible to refinish one with hard chrome (preferably matt finish) , nickel, or the NP3 Teflon stuff?

Contact Robar Guns and ask them, they should be able to give you an answer on what it takes to strip off the factory finish. I know I have have been carrying my 325PD daily for a number of years and haven't worn the finish significantly, it is very tough. I will vouch for their NP3 finish however, I have had several firearms coated by Robar and that stuff is both wear resistant and very slick.
