I dug my monoular out last night and let me son look through it. (He was tickled!) One thing I always wondered about... it's got 1.5 magnification... Do they make night vision devices that don't magnify? The mono is fine for looking around the house, but for walking, it gets kinda tricky...

I'm sure that's done on purpose as to prevent people from doing exactly that .. in my guess I assume the company woudl feel irresponsible about giving out a night vision monocular lens that can easily be used to run around at night.. just my 2 cents....

Night Vision takes a long time to get used to. I think the 1.5x is to help out with the depth perception. Wait till you're running through the woods with it on then things get even more interesting.

i looked at a bushnell NVG monocular a week/so ago, was ~ $125, are they any good or would i be better off with something else??

just want it to play around with when hunting, check stuff out, nothing serious really.
