Since I have been doing my designs on CAD,I needed a cool hawkbill folder.
Last weekend,I worked a few hours on the drawing,Printed my pattern the next day.
Started on it monday,Here's my Nighthawk. It's slightly more radical design than what I've been doing. It should be a hell o' boxcutter!

3.50" Sculpted ATS-34 blade
.095 Ti liners
Ranger green G-10 scales w/ patterned grooves
8.50" OAL
5.0" closed

Still need to finish sanding bevels & making clip.

John,Hawkbill blades are slashers,If Jack the Ripper was still stalking the alleys of London,And He had a EDC,It would more than likely be a hawkbill blade.

You might notice in the pics, the blade folds short of the handle.I wanted the backspacer material to surround the lanyard hole for durability. So you could use the end as a impact point. :D

Rick, that's a sexy beast! Your design flair is excellent!

Ps, gonna get back to ya on your email, been tied up lately.:D

That's sweet! If I might ask, how did you get the hole in the blade?
I drill out as much material as possible,I use my flexshaft with a 1/8" carbide bit finish defining the hole.A milling machine is on my wish list.:)

Rolf,I take from your post,You like hawkbill blades.:D

I like all blades :P I just wondered how those holes were put in. I'm starting to make blades, and just want as much info as I can get :)
