Nighthawk tang - how substantial?

I just obtained a Buck Nighthawk (tanto, partly serrated) in a trade. I have to say that I really like the excellent ergonomics and the thick, stout blade. However, I wonder how thick the tang beneath the handle is.

Does anyone happen to have an x-ray shot or any pics of a Nighthawk with the handle stripped off (unlikely, I know) or could someone from the factory comment on the tang's width and length?
 
If you're worried about durability, don't. The Nighthawk is a solid knife and will handle prying chopping etc, without breaking. It's a pretty hefty knife, so I assume the tang in pretty thick.

Not sure how thick though.
