Did anyone else watch this last night on TNT? There were 2 episodes.

The first was about i guess a hitman that kills the owner of a toy company. When the hitman gets home a very weird package comes to his door. When he opens it there are these toy soldiers that look harmless. It turns out the toys were from the company of the guy that he killed. Well i don't wanna ruin it for those of you that haven't seen it.

The second one was just plain weird and in my opinion better than the first.

They are on again tonight at i believe 11 and 12? Might have to double check that but i highly suggest checking them out.

I saw the first one. Cool... with good knife content:thumbup:

Are these from the Stephen King collection of short stories?

Hitmen is from Nightshift. There are a few others from Nightmares and Dreamscapes, like Crouch End, which I really want to see. Unfortunately I don't have cable. Are they making the midnight flyer?

And when is HBO going to make a Dark Tower tv series?

Chances are HBO is not going to make that. I don't know if this is breaking rules but check out the forums over at thedarktower.net.

I lurk around there a lot, and they have everything you would ever need to know about the books, upcoming movies, and schedules.

Oh and crouch end was the second one on last night that was really good.:)

did the ending of crouch end do the book justice?

As for a Dark Tower series, I don't think the series could be done justice, even though I really want to see it tried. My favorite is book III, Wastelands, Book II was pretty good, and Book VII (the last one?) was pretty good, up until the ending, which I absolutely hated. King was all over the place starting with the fourth book, and I think his story didn't come out as originally planned. Whenever I see a good King adaptation, I'm pleasantly surprised. For instance, the Green Mile.

hmm, a dark tower movie. I wonder who would play roland? I think jada pinket-smith should play odetta/detta/suzanah (I think i just butchered their names). Man, that would be a long undertaking if they were to do every book as one movie. But if they condense it too much it wouldnt be as good. Not that I think any movie could be as good as the books. But I too am very interested in seeing how the movie would be.

Too bad it wasn't written a few years before Clint Eastwood became famous.
Let me think here. I don't know. Mel Gibson might do it. Some one tallish and with a raspy voice. ooooh! I know.
Liam Neeson

Thank you for that, RedEdge77! I'm sure I can't even guess what would happen next. :D :D :p :p :D :D

Lol No problem Torz!:D

As for who would play Roland you would need some guy with a gruffy, badass look to him. I'm thinking Dennis Quaid. i think i spelt his name right?

If you check out that website thatt i gave the people over there go into who they think should play the people in the books. It's actually really interesting in a nerdy sort of fanatic way.

I saw them last night. The first one was ok, the second one just completely sucked. I'm not sure why it's so hard to make a Stephen King film
adaptation  :(

nah, I think, the person that should play Roland is someone who hasnt had any major roles. That way we wouldnt have any expectations.
I dont think Dennis Quaid is mean enough for Roland, and Liam Neeson just doesnt really fit the part in my mind.

Actually, I think it would be much better if the movie were an anime.
