Anyone is using this NIGHTSTAR self powered FLASHLIGHTS?

What's the "self powered" supposed to mean?. . .No battery require?

Well, the info' said so, but how does it work?
Is it worth the $$?

I haven't seen them in person but have been told they are pretty dim, about 1/3 the brightness of a Photon II white. The light is using a LED for light then supplying the power by moving a magnet back and forth through another magnet (shaking the light like a paint can). Anyway you will never need batteries and never need a new lamp with this light, but it isn't very bright.

I guess you could have it lying around for emergencies. It also says it can take a lot...run over by a truck.
 
I saw one of those at Cabelas in Dundee, MI. My first thought was HOLY SH!T this thing is huge. I guess I never read the dimensions on the web site. I think for the size I would take a two D cell Mag Light any day. If they made one that was about 5 inches or less it might be cool.
