Nilakka issues?

I've been eying the Nilakka since before it's release, but I've heard that the edge is very fragile. Is this a problem for basic EDC? I really want this knife, but if I can't use it, I won't bother buying one. I just want to make sure the knife can stand up to basic uses. Stuff like opening boxes and envelopes, and maybe some light wood carving.

Oooooh, in that case, I may just need to snag one of these. Knew you guys would be on top of this, like always!

Dear Raylas,

The edge is indeed very fragile. I bought one myself and after the first use, the edge was damaged. My hart is still bleeding. Love the knife though. Beautiful, smooth, everything you want, as a collectors' item. Not for EDC.

Sal, would you please give us an update? I don't see this as in stock at Spyderco or dealers.
I love my Nilakka despite the too thin edge. After my edge got a little chewed up from light use, I quickly sharpened it back to thicken the edge. I may have to do this again but it's not a big deal.
