3 generations of the Benchmade Nimravus. Love seeing/feeling the subtle design changes. They are surprisingly different in hand, considering how small the changes are. I prefer the 2nd gen, with the more pronounced finger extension and slightly recessed aluminum scales (and updated jimping from the 1st gen). It just feels a bit more secure in hand and has a little more attention to fit and finish, as the tang is sculpted all the way around. One of my favorite all around designs.

Anyone know why they changed the tang to be flush? I'd kinda get it with non-metallic scales, but these are aluminum anyway, so no significant increase in heat transfer, i would imagine.

That's interesting. I'd never noticed the differences. I've got a "gen 2" 141BK and agree with you on its features.

The bevel grind is higher on the second two examples in your pic as well, with less pronounced swedges.
