Thinking about getting a Nimravus tanto combo edge. What's the good, what's the bad? It will be attached to my drop leg platform for carry in the woods, on my boat, and hunting (not using for a hunting knife).

I had the exact knife you speak of. I hated the tanto, as neither of the two flat cutting surfaces were long enough to be good at cutting, and the serrations were insignificant. I had Benchmade switch it to the regular non-serrated 140 blade and it made the knife one of my all-time favorites. The 154CM is one of Benchmade's best steels. Mine had the G-10 handles... I'm pretty sure the current model has very grippy aluminum slabs.

It's not the strongest knife. I'd trust my M4 Contego to not break before the 140.

I own this one (the pic is not mine, borrowed from google)

For me, it is a nice versatile knife, since when I am in the woods I dont do heavy tasks, only food prepping or just whittling sticks just to kill time. so the thin blade suits me well. the nylon sheath is nicely made and could be placed anywhere. 154cm sharpens easily and the knife did not have any hotspots - I dont wear gloves mostly - so the ergonomics is good in my book. I would recommend this knife. though, I don't prefer tanto and combo edges.
