The sad truth is, if it wasn't for ninjas, I might not be making swords right now. In a tip of the hat for the idea of ninjas, which ignited and supercharged a love of swords into many a little kid, here is a blade based on the ninjato. Fact or myth, this type of sword design makes for an effective and tidy edged weapon!
It's a bit over 31" in total length, with a blade and hilt slightly exceeding 23" and 8", respectively. Weight is 1 lb 13.4 oz, with much of it in the hilt, which is made of copper and stainless steel. The blade is forged from beta titanium alloy. It's a reliable sword for martial practice, soft/medium target cutting, and crackhead defense.
Thanks for looking!~
And here is a little video showing the not-quite-finished sword in action.
