Nite Ize eClipse

So I recently bought a Victorinox OH Sentinel with a pocket clip and I really started loving this added feature. It really makes a difference in the comfort level of carrying a knife.

And then I started wanting the pocket clip on my 91mm Vics as well, and I saw this product: http://www.sosakonline.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=583&Itemid=35.

It seems like a good idea, but I'm wondering if the adhesive will hold even if the knife is washed (something that I often do). I read that the clip was originally meant for electronic devices such as iphones and for that, I'm sure the issue of washing the adhesive away is not present. For knives however, even swiss knives, there is a need to wash them every now and then, specially if the knife is used for food preparation. And here, the ability of the adhesive to stand up to water becomes an issue.

Does anyone have any experience with these Nite Ize eClipse attachable pocket clips? Will the adhesive hold even if the knife is washed often?

I use them and love them but I haven't washed knife yet so I have no info on that.

About one year ago I attached an eClipse to a cell phone. In that capacity it has performed very well over countless trips in and out of pocket. Unlike other attachable clips I have examined, this one is slim enough to look as if it belongs. I especially like the quick-release gripper that secures the item in place better than any other pocket clip in my experience. If ever I had a knife that needed a clip, I would be confident in this one. Although I am not sure how moisture would affect the adhesive, the instructions for removing the clip involves alcohol, which makes me think it takes a solvent other than water to loosen its grip.
