Im looking at the bradford guardian 3.5. Both the same price. One in nitro v the other in n690. I have read a little on the steel but dont have first hamd experiance. Is there a reason to choose on over the other. Iv had/have vg10, s35vn, s30v, d2, 1095, 5160, m4, 154cm.

Nitro-V is pretty similar to 14c28n, decent performance and suitable toughness for a smaller fixed blade. N690Co is similar to a mid point between VG-10 and 154cm, slightly higher edge retention than VG-10, slightly lower than 154cm, slightly higher toughness than 154cm, slightly lower than VG-10. Basically go for Nitro-V if you're more concerned about toughness, N690Co if you're more concerned about edge retention, but both are more budget class steels, even your lower performance super steels are far ahead.
