Nitrous Stryker vs Snody 14205?

Ordering a knife the wife wants so figured I'd pick up something for myself. Was thinking of picking up a BM HK 14205 (154CM) but they only have the partial serrated version (wish the PE was still in production), which I've never really warmed up to. I used to have a mini-nitrous and liked it but was too small. The 14205 is beefier than the Stryker (D2) which I could take or leave as it's a folder.. not a fixed blade. Always loved the blade shape of the 14205, which is why I like the Stryker.. they look very similar. I also like the Axis lock a bit better than the liner lock. Anyway, your opinion is welcome. I'm normally a Spyderco guy, but don't see anything that's really catching my fancy from them right now.

Edit: Use will be EDC and normal house use.

I would just stay away from the partially serrated ones - all the Benchmades I've seen like this had horrible edges and some the serrations looked already dinged up or like some machine on it's last leg was putting them on there.

Man, talk about making a 90 degree... I passed on both and went with an ESEE 4. Who'd a thunk! Picked up a CRKT Crawford Kasper PE also for $20 to throw in my tackelbox. Had to get at least 1 folder.

I have owned a Nitrous Stryker, but returned it. I am a fan of Benchmade, but not of their Nitrous mechanism. The assisted opening is very weak. That is not so bad, what is worse is that when closing the knife, quite an amount of force is required in the last stage. This makes one-handed closing awkward.

I didn't know the 14205 (it's out of production now), but it looks great! And the Axis lock is much better than the Nitrous. For me it'd be a no-brainer if it didn't have serrations...

I like Stryker. I already have both mini and the regular version and like them a lot. Yes they have liner locks which I do not respect much. But otherwise are very light, comfortable to carry and fast. I do not like serration, so for me the choice would be obvious.
