So far we have six members committed to making Sunday's meeting. As usual Mike Stewart from Bark River Knife & Tool will be donating a knife as our door prize. This month it is a Mountaineer. I have assurance from Mike, that if we can get twenty (20) members or guests to show up, there will be a second Mountaineer up for grabs!!!

You guys want to win a knife? Then show up this Sunday at the Steak & Ale on Route 1 South, in the Edison area. You may go home with a Custom Knife. This second knife offer will be held over until we can entice enough members back to the fold.

The usual members received their e-mails earlier today. Let's get another 15 or so members to commit to showing up.

The moderators are a couple of lazy bums! :D It's sticky now. As long as we get people to stick to coming ot meetings, we'll be OK.

I look forward to seeing you there and I'll bring my own Bark Rivers, too.

And the Big CRK for LaBella to think about! :D
 
I actually want to come, and I'm close enough to make it... However, I will have to wait until another time because I have to go to my parents' house on Sunday for my sister's birthday! (I'd rather be with knife knuts, lol.)

I hope you all have fun, and keep us posted about meetings. I don't even really know what goes on there or anything! I want to go to learn stuff and also to meet some of you all if you go.

So, what exactly does happen at these meetings, if you will pardon my ignorance? I'm curious.

we discuss current trends in fly fishing and bullsh*T around a warm campfire...

then we roast marshmellows and have hot chocolate.

once in a while someone takes off their pants, but we dont talk about that often.

The internet is overrun with keyboard commandos! Come to a meeting and you'll see, LaBella is a wimp. He's a shy little guy, usually brings cheap Chinese knock-offs and asks us to sharpen them. He's so quiet that he gets mistaken for a waiter and ends up cleaning the tables at the end of the meal.

But he's a good soul and he will buy you a beer!

I, on the other hand, am large, loud, and boisterous. Sometimes they have to have Collucci sedate me. One time I got so wild they took my prosthetic foot away, so I had to sit there and behave myself.

Clydetz is such a mean drunk they usually end up calling the police to control him, but he's SO mean, the police won't even respond to the call anymore.

And that's just a sample of what awaits you at a "normal" NJ KCA meeting! Of course, when the guys from New York stop by, the fun REALLY begins! :D

Untrue! The police do respond but they can't get past Clyde at the front door! :p Yeah, stop in sometime Ashes... if you don't like beer, I'll split a jug of Scotch sours with you! :D

go ahead, rub it in :grumpy: I miss one meeting (that I said I'd come to) and I hear about it forever???

BTW: What happened last month? Ken posted (on the other forum). Collucci wanted to put a cork in it. No more posts, that I saw any way. And then I see you guys met and gave away a sharp looking, sharp BR? Is that fair :confused:

We had a small meeting, it having been Father's Day, but there was a great turnout for the retaurant generally. We had a good time, not many of us, but all REAL, LOYAL knife knuts. :D

Oh, about the naked dancing, don't sweat it -- that's only for guests, not us old guys. ( :barf: )
 
You should also know that sometimes LaBella gets a little crazy and tries humping your leg. Seeing all those knives really sets the little fella off, you know. We keep a spray bottle near by in case of such an incident. If he really gets outta line we string him up and beat him like a pinata. :p :D
 
Having been there now and seen it first hand, it's all true.

Everything they say about youse guys is true, youse all are way out there.

I had fun none the less and other than a few bandaids passed around no one really got hurt.

Labella, dude you have way too much disposable income, BTW thanks for the sticker I'll have to pin it on my desk.

Ken, Tom and all the rest, thanks for makin' an old Jersey boy feel at home. :)
