So this is my first thread here on bladeforums, but I've been pretty active in the PIF thread here. I've only been collecting real knives for the past few months. For a while all i carried was a cheap Gerber that was duller than hell. But I just randomly got the urge to get something better. I started out by getting cheaper knives so I can to really test the waters (Kershaw, Opinel, Steel Will, Ruike) and figure out my preferences. I think I found out what I liked pretty quickly when I received my first Kizer out of the PIF, the Ursa Minor. Since then I've put up all of my collection except these 3 blades.

I just bought the Sheepdog earlier in the week off of the classifieds and I couldn't be happier. For being a beefy knife it rides well in my pocket and the handle fits like a glove. It's kinda weird thinking how just a couple months ago I was thinking it'll be hard for me to spend over 100 bucks on a knife, and now I have 3 of them over that price range. I saw the same thing happen when I started playing Bass and now I currently have a couple north of the 1,000 dollar mark. But I'm happy because compared to instruments, knives are pretty cheap! Enough talking here is some knife porn. Here is my Sheepdog, Ursa Minor and Guru

It's dangerous getting involved with the forum because it's a community full of enablers, but you guys seem pretty cool so I'm gonna stick around.

Nice, your just getting started, breaking the $100. barrier is a only the beginning.
I like Kizer a lot.
I was torn between going the Kizer or WE route, but I guess I like Kizer for doing collaborations with custom makers and making productions of custom models. I've been impressed so far. Even though all 3 look the same "gray titanium framelock flippers" they all feel like different knives. A huge step up from what I had, that's for sure
