Just got my RAT RC-4....first impression...looks like a solid knife. Only downside is the handle is a bit shorter than I would like...Not sure how much that will affect its performance for me, but it may go back for that reason. Any one else have this problem? Any one have something of similar quality with similar warranty in like new condition that they would trade? Thanks!!

I've got medium-sized hands and the handle is OK, but just barely. I'd love it if it were about 1/2" longer.

I was not impressed by the handle on the RC4 when I got mine, not so much size, I wasn't expecting a large handle on a knife of that size, but I found the slabs uncomfortable and "block" like.

However, after giving it a workout one afternoon I have to admit the knife earned back some respect. It will never be a favorite of mine because of the handle slabs, but it certainly is a capable little knife.

My daughter really likes it, but her hands are quite a bit smaller than mine. I'm keeping it around for her to use.

If you are able to return it, maybe try exchanging for an RC6, provided you don't think it may be too large a knife overall.

The designers will tell you that just holding it it might feel too short, but once you start using it it will shine. I have big hands, and thought it was too small and thin, but once I started using it, well, the RAT designers were right!

I've noticed this also. The handle feels small when just fondling the knife, but when in use it's just the right size.
