NKONKA tool options

I just purchased a 3V NKONKA and I must say that it is a great knife! I really like the concept of putting a toolkit in the handle.

I noticed that there are two empty holes in the bit-holder that correspond in size to the third such hole which contains the tommy bar. Those holes seem to me to be the most obvious place to augment the kit contents.

After thinking about it for awhile I decided that I really needed to be able to pull things such as corks out of wine bottles (I drink my share of wine) so I put a screw in one of these holes. I had to be careful of two things: that the head of the screw would be small enough to allow the kit to go into the handle and that the head would be large enough to tug on. I also wanted a screw that would fit snugly to eliminate moving around inside the handle.

Once I found the right screw I put it in one of the free holes and then put a small folded cord in the other hole. Just to make sure things work I used the screwdriver to place the screw in a wine bottle cork and then tied off the pull-cord. I was indeed able to pull the cork without too much trouble!

I am interested in hearing about what others are doing with the toolkit-- what bits are being substituted, etc.

I would also like to add some fire-starting equipment to my kit but I'm quickly running out of space... perhaps I could wiggle in a few "strike-anywhere" matches.
