Wow, can't believe some of the prices on the Exchange.
They are the lowest I have ever seen with some going below original cost.
I figure, it's because everyone ordered a NMFBM and has no money left. :( :)
What do you guys think ?
If I didn't love guns and fly fishing so well, I would buy at east 3 listed on the Exchange right now !
Just too many hobbies to afford everything I want. :(

Sag.

Add the flood of Busse blades available and to some degree, the sagging economy with people having less "play" money and more bills...

The NMFBM is what's keeping me away from some of the great deals on the exchange right now. I imagine many others are in the same boat. Plus, there has been a surge in the supply, as Jeepnut mentioned. It's a buyers market!

I admit to selling off some knives and other gear to raise cash for more AKs (the rifle, not the sword) and related parts before the elections. AK parts kits and imported barrels
dried up fast and prices on production rifles are rising steadily. I know it is panic buying to some degree but hey, at least I can buy now unlike in the past. I got screwed last time around in '94. I remember paying $100 for a Sig 228 mag. The thought of doing that again makes me sick. Like the OP said, too many hobbies to support.

I'm holding out for the feeding frenzy that will be Blade West.

I think the prices on the exchange were artificially inflated and overly optimistic about the value of Busse's in general in the future. The older Busse's are bolstered by their limited numbers and overall popularity. This has caused a mindset that buying in bulk will assure a nice return on capital. Just like any market that is formed in this manner and then oversupplied (compared to the past "two weeks") it will eventually collapse and people will be scrambling to even get their original investment back. Note the rise and fall of the Game Warden. Cultellus did the same thing and now people are basically selling ganza blades at cost and happy to have their cash back in hand. Enjoy your hobby and use your knives because the current crop of Busse's will never enjoy the rise in value (proportionally) that the earlier models did. Before anyone burns me in effigy, I actually think this is a good thing if you like knives and want affordable models. Its just bad news if you were planning on Busse as your retirement fund. The limited availability of Busses just isn't there, i.e. they are shipping NMFBM's in about a week from now. Use them, enjoy them, look for bargains, just don't buy them thinking that turning them is a great idea anymore. Just one mans opinion.

Very well put....I've actually been thinking about changing my signature quote :D

Not that I'm going to sell mine, I think that these are going to be a sought after blade. I myself don't visit this forum regularly, I was just lucky enough to catch the offering when I did. I think this is going to be a hard to find blade in a couple years.
