Alright guys and gals break out the calipers. I have 3-NMFSH's and the range of thickness is 1@ .325", 1@ .341" and 1@.367" The Fatty of course came from Blade 2013.

What are y'all measuring???

My NMFSH that has been stripped is at .310" measured at the top of the blade in front of the handle.

Factory spec on the original run was .3125". There can be slight tolerance changes with grinding and remember that not all coatings are the same thickness. Even with the same color coating you can get variances based on how thick the coating goes on.

Thanks -G-

Yea figured the .325" I have was the orignal run. I bought it 2ndary cause of medical bills when they were released. Like the Original run of NMFBM's I have one that is .249" and love the bugger. The .367" NMFSH though is one MEAN BEAST, man that thing is a tank, sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!

My origianl run Sage is .321
My original run Black is .324
My Balde 2013 Black is .368

All measure right where the grips end.

Just looking at the texture of the finish I have no doubt the black goes on thicker than the sage.

I wish I had calipers...my two appear to be the same thickness and slightly thicker than my 6.5 regulator which is the only other 5/16" knife I have.

Yeah black is one of the coatings that tends to be a bit thicker. The heavy textured coatings really add to the thickness.
