NMFSH vs. ASHBM

I have an NMFSH (Double Cut, Black Micarta) but haven't (yet) pulled the trigger on the ASHBM. For those of you with both, are they different enough to justify both and do you have a preference? I suspect the longer ASHBM may be the better chopper, but which would you own if you could only have one? A ridiculous question to put to Infi-loving HOGs, I know, but who else can I turn to?

I only have some # of 300. For me no doubt ashbm. I just sold my NMFSHLE.

If I could only choose from those two, for a Busse that would be the most usable as an all around knife I would have to choose the FSH. For a pure chopper the ASHBM hands down. But you know it's unlawful to only have one Busse, right?

The ASHBM has excellent feel/balance & is a wicked chopper & multipurpose.
My NMFSH was sold too.

I had ashbm sold bought the nmfsh and I love it.
Simple words ashbm better choper . Nmfsh better all around knife with chopping capabilities.

I'm hard pressed to say that the ASHBM is the winner in my book. Handles just too comfy. It's lighter feeling than a bushwhacker mistress believe it or not.

They are both excellent-ASHBM better chopper-if that is all your going to do. NMFSH very good chopper-buy both!!!

Both are great knives and you should get both However, as much as I love my ASHBM I will take my NMFSH over it as a user any day.
If you looking at BMs, try hunting for MOABM

I'm biased since I don't own any of the 2, but the nmfbm is a beast at chopping, and comfy handle as well. Got 2 because I like it so much.

I much prefer the ASHBM to the NMFSH, having had a few BIG SF NMFSH and a few ASHBM CG.

That being said, sell the NMFSH and buy my spare ASHBM that's looking for a new home….

This rings true in my brain as well.

ASHBM by a long shot in my opinion. The NMFSH is just too awkward to me. I think they weigh almost exactly the same (not going to look it up). There is nothing the NMFSH can do that the ASHBM can't do.

What is the thickness of the regular NMFSHs?

I think the regular ones are .32"
I love my fat one, it just feels great, for me the NMFSH is the winner. It also looks much better than the ASHBM in my opinion.
