NMFSH VS FSH or HHFSH or HOGFSH

Hi everybody,

I haven't posted in a while, but I have a burning question on my mind I thought you guys could answer. You may recall my post from a while back of me putting my NMFBM LE to good use. Well, I have been thinking about getting something a little smaller to compliment it. I have often thought that one of the FSH versions would be a great choice. Since the NMFSH has come along the decision is not so easy. Whatever I get will be put to good use. The primary use will be fire prep when camping.

So on to the questions:

1. Does anybody know what a CGNMFSH weighs? I found the weights of the various FSH's on the busse collector site.

2. Has anyone used a NMFSH and any of the various versions of the FSH? And if so which do you prefer?

3. Does anyone have any strong convictions either way as to which I should add to my collection next? I know the standard answer is usually both :). I currently have the NMFBM LE, a BOSS STREET, and a MBC.

At the moment I'm thinking one of the FSH's makes the most sense.

Thanks in advance
Tim

The Heavy Ordinance Fusion Steel Heart will always hold a special place with me, the NM version is cool and all, but its not a HOGFSH. :)

imho

That is the reason why my quest for my HOGFSH...will not decay...It looks like a lifetime love...I´d get one to make it my user.

still looking for a user-BM and a HOGFSH.

Thanks for posting your replies, I really appreciate it.

I didn't think the nmfsh would be so heavy, that's not far off the nmfbm! At that weight I might as well just carry the nmfbm.

That HOGFSH is gorgeous, I would love to have one, its not exactly a light weight at 26.4oz according to busse collector. The more I think about it, the more a regular FSH makes sense at 19oz it's a significant weight savings over the nmfbm.

Does anyone know if the ganzas ever have regular FSH's?

Thanks again
Tim

NMFBM and a Fat ASH are the results I came up with after a similar question.
They are all I need....

IMHO, hard to find anything more perfect in the 7"-8" range than a FSH or HHFSH. Ratweiler is a very close second and considering they will be released tomorrow at a great price, it's a no brainer in my mind!

I'm obsessed with my HHFSH and my HOGFSH AND my NMFSH . . . They each fill a niche . . . Or at least that's what I've been saying to myself and my wife since the beginning ;)

I have HH; NM; and HO. No help here, as I like all three. And any of them would be suitable for 90% of any intended purpose. NM just gives a wee bit more length and heft.

can't speak for comparison, but I love my nmfsh. it's super beefy but also super balanced and surprisingly agile. the weight sits in the hand even better than the my cgfbm which was surprising because it's so much thicker. maybe heavy on the hip but feels light in the hand.

I enjoy the HHFSH. It is one of my favorite knives. I'd encourage you to pick one up when you see one.

But the currently offered INFI Ratweiler would fit this niche well.

Great buy today too!!

NMFSH is the closest & cheapest you can get to an FBMLE so that is the one that gets my vote. The others are pretty good too, but that almost 10" of fat full flat grind with a sweet balance is hard to beat.
