And here we are after about an hour:

This is Busse number 1. I can't imagine this will be the last one either. I can't wait to hear how the veterans think this compares with the other fine Busse blades out there.

As a long-time hatchet user, I must say this thing is a formidable chopper.

Is that sage / black, because that's what I'll be getting too? ;) Glad you like the knife.

I got my standard black/black and tried out the sage/black as well. It might be my favorite user color combo. I am glad I went for the machine grooved slabs, they feel very good and a relative bargain to boot. This will be a nice user blade. Its bigger, thicker, and longer than my Sarq but it doesn't feel bigger. Very nice overall.

That's the colour combo I chose too. It really does say user doesn't it. Ding me, Amy-O, ding me!!

Sage/Black indeed. I don't know how much longer the finish will be recognizable! If only I had unlimited funds.

I hear ya, I got the sage/black tan G10 combo, looking forward to it. I figure the finish will last a good amount of time as long as I don't baton with it. When it wears down I will send it off to the Bark River spa for a nice satin finish and call it a day :D or I will send it back to the Busse shop for another coating of sage goodness

Hey, it looks just like mine: already dirty. :) A very nice knive just begging to be used.

Very nice!

I've been trying to decide between the Hell Razor and the ASH1 but I think this blade might just be the perfect compromise...

Looks like a hell of good all-round design!
