i'd have to say it chops about as well as the mofo. it's a bit heavier with a slightly more neutral balance. also, i have to hold the nmsfno farther up for the most comfort because of the mag scales.

out of 10 or so throws, i stuck it only once (not that i'm any good at throwing anyway)

mostly tried handle throws, but the stick was from an underhanded blade grip from a ridiculously easy 2 meters.

this is a pretty nice knife, and i'm fairly impressed. this is my favorite size of blade, and it has enough heft to be a pretty decent chopper without being too heavy. i still like my mofo better for the lighter weight, more forward balance, and imo vastly more comfortable handle, but this comes close.

Absolutely awesome! I just ordered a sage with black canvas, thinking maybe I should've gone with the hand shaped handles since my hands are smaller.
Again, congrats. Cool to see you putting it to use right away.

Great stuff, thanks.

Do you have an FSH? I wonder how the NMSFNO will compare to an FSH.

I'm still mad that I didn't grab that Euro Mojo before you did. :grumpy:

yeah, and i was trying to remember how it felt. i think the FSH had a slightly more forward balance, and may have been slightly heavier, but it's been a while since had it

I have medium size hands at best and the machined groove slabs feel very good. I am glad I went that way instead of the hand shaped. Great knife.

this is a great blade, i love it.

if you felt that the FBM was a just a little bit too much, this blade may fit the bill.

sage and black micarta, what a great combo.
