NMSFNO or CGFBM?

OK, I did my taxes, refund should be here friday.

I'll have enough $$ for ONE of these.

The Mistress is kind of edging things out, BUT
I have to get sloppy seconds and probably pay more than the initial cost.
BUT It's got the second coolest name, those badass CBTs on the blade, and is bigger.

The NMSFNO, on the other hand has some sleek lines, I can get it now, there's sheathing available at the CS.

The knives would both fulfill my Walter Mitty fantasies of being behind enemy lines with nothing but my trusty knife and compass, cutting my way through the forest and my enemies to get the secret decoder ring, save the girl and make it home to get my next medal.

In reality, they'd mostly get fondled while watching reruns of Lost, and do some camping chores.

Both would be equally useful in both cases, although the Mistress a little more so (especially if a certain one with the urban camo blade and blue/black mags became available again). :D

Suggestions?
 
well that is a tough call, from an investment standpoint I would say NMSFNO because you are still getting it at factory costs and the value of it is sure to go up whereas the FFBM you will be more than likely paying inflated prices for. That said they are both really cool knives, the NMSFNO is probably more practical but the Mistress wins hands down in the cool department. Whatever you decide post pics :thumbup:
 
Well, the NMSFNO will likely hit the Company Store once it goes down from Busse Combat, so it should be available for a good while yet... probably.

And the Mistress? It's supposed to be a buyer's market right now, so there's probably never going to be a better time to buy, short of borrowing a time machine from a friendly scientist (OP perhaps???)

And everyone needs a Mistress. That gets my vote.

Anyway, 2nd coolest name? What's the 1st? I'm guessing Hell Razor...

CGBM is my favorite Busse. If you don't have one, get one. I have a NMSFNO too, but the CGBM is #1 IMO. Make sure it has mags...
 
I'm amazed at how low the price of a CGFBM has gone. I have both, an NMSFNO and a couple CGFBM's. If you asked 6 months ago, I would've said "get the NMSFNO", but with prices the way they are... I doubt you will ever find a CGFBM cheaper than what they are currently going for. However the NMSFNO is the cheapest it will ever be... and better rounded... but the CGFBM is a lot of fun and a beast of a chopper for its weight, its a tough call.:confused:

CGFBM! Why? You still have time on the NMSFNO and though its a great blade its not the blade the BM is.

You will likley see the NMSFNO come to the store and be around a while before its not sold anymore. As mentioned before the CGFBM isnt getting any cheaper. You could probably get an ok deal on a user at that.
 
If you have the time to scour the exchange regularly and be ready to jump, get the CGFBM.

If not, go order the NMSFNO and spec it out as you please.

I like the lines of the CGFBM much better but the magnum handles aren't my thing. If I could get a hold of one with standards it would be sweet.
 
i really regret parting with my CGFBM. i would take that over the NMSFNO. it's not much heavier, has the corrugated bevels, and would be more useful imo. but the nmsfno is a lot cheaper right now . . . .
