Yes I have already said it 10 times fast, its actually pretty easy, try it...lol
I recieved mine yesterday as a Birthday present to myself and it is the BOMB!
Black blade/black machined handles. I am now tempted to ditch my Chopweiler and Ratweiler.....time will tell.
If you are on the fence as I was dont even hesitate just order one before they are gone, remember No Regrets, you will make more money. It feels great in the hand and the ergo's of the blade weight/handle is F$%^in awesome, Thank you Busse Combat.
Ill try to get some pics up tonight.

Cheers!

I'm still torn. My SHSHII is the same blade size, practically. I still can't justify the expense except to protect my collectible knife from further damage. Is the NMSF handle that comfy? I dunno. Would I like one in black canvas/green blade? YEP!

But I really need a bow for next hunting season. And I haven't pulled a string in 20 years so I can't push it off TOO far or I'll be praying and spraying at deer next season. (To give you an idea how long it's been, mechanical releases were just coming out and considered cheating when I put my bow down. And it was a Bear Whitetail II - that thing with 239344 pulleys on it.)

Ugh. I hate this. Why can't I just wallow in unlimited money??? :)

Indeed it does!

You can send me the Ratweiler since you don't want it anymore.

Hey fellas.....The NMSFNO handles are really comfy, not like the Chopweiler but very grippy when holding on to it and it will be great for chopping. Getting off topic...I was going to get back into bow hunting also and it has been about the same for me also Dennis, many moons. I decided not to even bother because the bows I wanted were around $500 to $700 and then you need a least two dozen arrows for practice and some for hunting, the proper weight to arrow broadheads, etc, etc.... after everything depending which package I had them build the cheapest was near $800 +, and then you still have no knockdown power like you do with the 12 ga slug. I hunt and shoot all the time and I can not fathom the idea of missing the heart/lungs and wounding the deer. It was a no brainer for me. I just bought more ammo and moved on.
If you do go the Bow route shoot as many arrows up until deer season as you can, thats what my friends dad always told me when I was thinking about it. Good luck.
I have to buy a membership to BF real soon, this site rocks!..and there are some really cool dudes also
On a side note I look at my Ratweiler and I become mesmerized by it. That knife is pure sex to me....it's gonna be a hard one to sell if I do...no pun intended

Cheers!

Max - I hear ya. Alas, it always seems that shotgun season is about 3 minutes long and bow season is 498 years long. I know it's not THAT bad, but there is a massive difference in length-of-season around here. (OK, so it's 6 weeks vs. 2 weeks, with a TON less hunting pressure.)

I expect to pay $800 or so for a package. In fact, that's what I was planning on. THe good news is that I've got three stores with lanes within short driving distance. One here at work in Fall River, one sort-of on the way home (and near my cabin) in Middleboro and one in Attleboro. So I can dedicate some range time indoors (as well as out - at home) to get my game on.

I'd still love to handle a NMSFNO. I should just pull the trigger. If I had one more blade sell, I'd do so. And still find the $ for the bow.

ARRGGHH!!!

Max - Is there any chance you could post a pic of your NMSFNO next to your Chopweiler? I'm still on the fence . . . and would like to compare the two. thanks.

Hi Guys, I will post pics tonight of both blades,,,,,heck ill even post pics of the Ratweiler for the fun of it.
Yeah I hear ya on the looonng bow season and shortness of gun season. I always wondered why that was.
My actual name is Tom. The "max" name was just a generic username that I was using when I was a "lurker" and I needed to respond one day to an ad on the exchange but still wasnt sure if I was going to stick around....needless to say I am now stuck with a username that I really dont want, owell.

Pics should be up around 7 or 8pm tonight.

Talk later.....tom

Here ya go......enjoy fellas...yeah, yeah, I know these blades are virgins but not for long. I still have to clean up my yard after that nasty ice storm a month ago in NE.
Have a great night........tom

Thanks for the pics... and agreed, the NMSFNO is a SWEEEEEET Blade!!!

Where in Central Mass??? I'm Central MA up by the NH border.

.

I held her again tonight after her photoshoot and man o man is she hot! She begged me to hit against something but I just couldn't bring my self to do it.
lol...I need a vacation :)
I'm south of you by about 25 or 30 minutes....takes me ruffly 30 minutes to get to Stateline Gun Shop in Mason, NH, which is right over the border.
Maybe sometime we can have a New England Chop fest. This is a calling to all the New England HOGS. Maybe in the Spring time.

Have a good night.

lookin good. i'm not a fan of mags, and i haven't gotten around to taking the handles down yet, but the SF handle is definitely a favorite, and i do really like the blade on the NMSFNO too.
oh, and the weilers are looking awesome too. i'm kind of regretting not picking up a chopweiler now.

Thank you for all of the great pics, they make it much easier to compare the knives. Now if only I could make a decision . . .

That is a fine trio you have!

Thanks. When I first saw a Camp Tramp back in 2002 or 2003? I was in love. When I found out that they were discontinued I was crushed. Then I stumbled upon the Exchange and it was like a wet dream.
One knife led to another and here I am.
I am not made of money at all and each one of these and a few others were bought with funds I should have put twards other things but hey, you only live once. I sold a tons of stuff on "the bay" to fund the SF. These Busse family knives have almost a magical spell over me when I hold them or even look at them online. Hard to explain but maybe you have felt this also or I just need to get a life....or both :)

Have a good un'

Great looking knives except for the coating. Can't see a single smudge on any of the three.

Know what you mean about the Ratweiler/Chopweiler analogy. Can't hold one without feeling a little electric. Still, if it's as close as you say, it suggests your partner splits lumber and skins carcasses during the deed. Better start a New England Choptogether before you're put in prison.
