No 186's or older 560's on eBay!

Not sure what ebay you are looking at:eek: , But, I found several of each:D Keep looking;) .
Those aren't the 186's I think he is referring to. The 560's you showed are the newer versions. There were a few of the older ones last week but none currently up for auction.

Sorry guys:confused: , I don't collect them so as usual had no idea there were different versions:foot:. Can someone post a pic of the older ones -vs- newer ones. What are the date ranges of the older -vs- newer?

Thanks for the education.

This is the older 186. As you can see, it's a completely different knife.

This is one of the older 560's from the late 80's

This is a newer 560 Crystal Titanium. (Minus the thumb stud) :o

Thanks for the info Mike,

Wow the 186 is not even in the same league let alone the same ball park!!! I checked a few other sites and no luck. But I'll keep my eye out for some.

JB,
The 186 was only offered in 1987 and 1988. I'm not surprized you found no mention of it on the internet.

Right on the money with the first two! Don't care for the third to much due to slightly thinner handles and coating. I have snagged two 560's and four 186's on ebay in the last year. I carry a 186 daily which needs a blade. I do not abuse the knife but several years of sharpening have taken a 1/2 inch off the length and about half the width. The knife has seen much use and with out a doubt looks like a user. None the less it would come to blows if someone made the mistake of trying to liberate it from me. Guess I will have to send it in and make one of my collecter's a user.

Nice pic's

What do you sharpen it with???

Why not put in a new 110 blade??? Cheaper than a new blade from Buck. Check Wally World or K-Mart for the Blue Light Specials...

I had asked on this forum if I could use a 110 blade with no response! Does the new 110's use the same bushing?

I read your post; but I don't have a 186 (only a 560). I'd wager a guess that those who do have a 186 haven't torn apart a 110 and don't know.

Again, I can't say. Do you have a verniers or/and a set of number drills??? I have several 110 blades plus a couple new bushings here...(not to sell, you understand; just for reference)... :D I can give you a pretty good idea if it will fit...

But someone who would know is Leroy Remer. Give him a call/email.

Did I Mention the 560?

Oh and a first production year Grand National with no more than 8 miles on the odometer!
