Off topic, but I usually am... Next Friday is it people. I've seen a couple of posts, but no threads. I have to say, I've been tripped out about it for the last eight years or so, but now that it's right at our doorstep, it doesn't really seem like much is happening or going to happen. There's always a way to argue it, "the calm before the storm", but to me, it just doesn't feel like anything crazy is going to happen.

What about you?

On a side note, any California Bay Area folks interested in having a little end of the world party in the San Jose mountains? I know a great little place (well, the only place for 30 miles up here) to get a beer/burger. I'm tight with the ownership (okay, I work here, $20 a week to sort garbage [maybe I shouldn't invite more people here, I get paid the same no matter what...]) and if we wanted to have a chopping/drinking/eating party we'd be more than welcome, there's even a spot where we could do a little light shooting (under .30-30) and plenty of logs/dead trees that are open game for chopping.

Look up The Junction, 47300 Mines Road, Livermore, CA on google maps to see how far from civilization it is, a great starting place if the doo-doo hits the fan. The restaurant's mascot is even a boar!

If enough people are interested I could set up an official thing, if not, just stop by on any given day and I'll probably be out chopping at my log. It's a beautiful drive no matter where you come from (Patterson, Livermore or San Jose) and the restaurant is a nice place to make a pit stop.

Ehhhh, I don't know how many "The End Is Near" events I've lived through in my 29 years, but I'm not sweating it. I'll be posting here next Saturday or working in the tobacco (probably the latter). My faith is in something other than man's prediction :) Which is good cause aside from the major parts (No religious discussion ;) ), that means more Busse's to buy in the year to come.

BRING IT!!!... i was hoping to have my AK before things got gnarly, but the 1311 will suffice

That sounds like fun, hopefully my schedule will allow me to go. I should know later in the week.

I sure hope nothing happens on friday. I'm just getting my life turned around, and it would suck if the SHTF when things started looking up.

I invited a couple of close friends over to the bunker for a party on the 21st .... :D :D You will have plenty of warning as armageddon will arrive here first given we are about 8hrs ahead... ;)

No 2012 thread? There's been at least 100s thread just started today, not even counting since January 1 of this year!

NASA has assured us that we're gonna be alright...at least through 2012. No real surprise there. ;) EOTW parties may still be fun though, you know...without the actual threat of destruction & all. :D

And if NASA is lying...pretty sure that we won't feel much, just a moment of severe panic followed by...nothing. LOL. ;):D:D

I love end of the world parties. I say lets party like its 1999 all over again. :p

I work that night........so no parties. But it might be an EOTW for a Security Guard I arrested last night. Had been previously arrested 14 time in my town alone, and had warrants through 4 out of 5 jurisdictions we checked him through. And these are the people hired for Security companies.

No party here, as I don't have any friends, but I'll probably be drinkin'... I've got 5 more workin' days until my my Christmas vacation starts.

My family celebrates the Winter Solstice every year, so we will certainly have a party! Family, good food, a giving of thanks, prayers & libations for the year ahead, smoke & fire...

But how do you hold accountable folks who insist, "The world will NOT end on 12/21/2012," if they are wrong? :p

ahhhh NYE 1999/2000 I had all the best intentions of staying home "in case" but when you get a call from a group of six single nurses laying out the options for the evening.... who was I to deny them my company.... I got home around 1300hrs on the 1st....

I am not that old and I can remember the last few EOTW predictions and they were all a big let down. I was all set for Y2k and then just decided to get drunk instead. I made the right choice that night so I am gonna go with the same plan of attack this time. I will stop in and say hi on the 22nd.

EOTW parties are the best! I'm down to drink and enjoy the company I'll be around. Cheers to the End of the World...again :foot:

Does anybody know which time zone the EOTW is gonna hit first. I guess if my Aussie friends all disappear I will have atleast a bit of a head start.

That's what I'm saying, any reason to have a party
