A wharncliff blade being a rope-cutting blade, one thing led to another. If it was a rope-cutting knife it should have rope filework, hense my earlier posts. And it should have a marlinspike for opening knots.
Even though this is probably my best piece of workmanship (sorry for the poor photos, I'll keep trying), the knife has been universally dissed by my regular circle of critics, mostly on design grounds. So it goes. Since this one probably won't sell, I guess I'll be stuck with it myself...
Stats:
440C, Cryoquenched
OAL 10 3/4", blade 6"
Rope filework (thanks everyone for the help), tapered tang, black and red liners
Nickel Silver pins, Macassar ebony scales
Marlinspike out of 304 stainless
Includes clunky sheath
Dave
PS - If I ever suggest I might put 39 pins through a tapered tang again, please disuade me!
