Hey guys, just finished this one. This is the first time I tried turning anything, came out OK I think. The handle is 1/2" W1, turned in my drill press. Blade is 1080, not sure why I do this to myself by chosing blade shapes like this one :D, PITA to grind. The blade is held in the slot with mild steel pins, everything heavily antiqued. When I started this one I was planning to make it a dagger, but after the handle was made couldn't come up with a dagger blade that would fit in well, so the styling is medieval India. Overall length is 7 3/8" with a 2 1/2" blade.

Different, Serge, is often better - in your case it is
always a great knife!!

All the best,

Turned on a drill press? Can't wait to see what you'll pump out with a lathe. Uniquely well done, classic Serge.

Wow, in a drill press? You're amazing Serge. Your skills blow me away.

I still remember a WIP at Knifemakerforums showing what you could do using a Ryobi belt sander as your primary grinder.

I love this piece.

My wallet says "absolutely not" and my head tells me that I'd never find a practical use for such a design. But oh boy do I love it. Beautiful job: that is just sweet.

Once again it's a real pleasure to see your work. Congratulations on your mention in the lastest BLADE mag.

It's like a Saxon and a Norman and a Klingon got together to redesign the Seax!!! Beautiful!!!

Always outside the box. How many ideas you got rattling around in your head? Just love the antiqued look you get on your knives. Very impressive.
