Hi all,
This is my first post in the Kitchen Cutlery section. I've been hanging at the Axe/Hatchet section. I had today off from work and being a beautiful day, I drove to a outdoor Flea Market (and several Antique shops) here in Maine. I thought I might find a nice old Axe/Hatchet today but.....Bummer....nothing worth buying. Oooh well. On my way home this evening, I had to make a stop at the local "Thrift Shop" for something not related to edge tools. Of course I HAD to check to see if anything worth while might be on the shelve. "Ummmm, now this looks interesting!" So, long story short, I found an as new MONTANA INOX (made in Italy) adjustable Bread Knife for......99 cents! Score! It has a nice thick blade, made in Italy, excellent condition, nice and sharp so, I HAD to buy it. The craziest part is, my wife (who was with me) gave me a hard time for buying another (yes, I'm a bit OCD like) knife/tool/Axe/etc. "Arrrrr.....Honey, it's only 99 cents"! Oooh, woman! Anyway, once home I did a quick Google search and it shows that the MONTANA INOX Knife cost a bit over $50.00 new (with shipping). Oooh, now I can't wait to tell the Wife! Ugh.
Regards,
HARDBALL
