I just got a package from the brown truck this afternoon!! 
I was unable to remedy the scratches on my Lum Chinese and sent it back to Spyderco for them to be removed from the blade. I had tried using the tips from the forums(here and the Spydie website), but was unable to accomplish the task due to lack of time in the day.
A quick call to the Mike at the Warranty and Repair Dept. and my Lum was on its' way back for some TLC.
My Lum came back in like new condition with a mirror polish and a complimentary sharpening.
IMHO, Spyderco has THE BEST Customer Service out there, bar none.
