Sent my 110 in for reblade and spa treatment just came back it looks great. There wasn't a bill in box and just chatted with Buck on website was told no bill. Great customer service as broken blade was my fault they knew this. So do I say thank you and be appreciative or send them money anyway or make contribution to a knife group. Fred.

This is exactly why I love Buck. They do right every time, even when no one is looking!

Maybe send a thank you note, and give a gift to kniferights

A written letter of appreciation would mean alot to the guys that did this for you. That is all you would need to do. And mentioning it on here and to your friends and family.

I'm sure they would appreciate a thank you. You could put the money toward another Buck knife which would also benefit the company.

Fred, a similar incident happened to me. I sent in a 105 which had a broke blade. A dumb move by my nephew while field dressing a buck. I was not present when he did it but I heard about it and he admitted to it. So, I took the knife and sent it in to Buck. After examining it, they sent me a new knife with a letter, thanking me for being a Buck customer. Also, in the package was a check signed by Chuck Buck, paying me for the cost of shipping the knife to them. I thought about it for a day or two and decided 'NO'. This is not right. So, I sat down and wrote Buck a letter about this incident. Explaining how I suspected my nephew abused the knife during use and included a check for the knife. Thanking them for being a good American company. In return I received a letter from Chuck Buck thanking me for this. I still have the letter and check. I never deposited it. I write this just to give you some ideas on how to handle this matter. DM

I have never had to send anything in to Buck (very surprising). However, stories like these are very common. It is a great company. I remember in the old days every knife came with a testimony about Jesus Christ and that said a lot about the good values of the company. I guess they still have them.

I do want to encourage the OP to send a thank you letter. That kind of stuff is really appreciated by folks working on the floor of the factory (not to mention the Buck family).

Send the office flowers, or a cake, or just a heartfelt letter. Or all of these.
