O.K. guys, here is a place for you to list your NO B.S. gear that you have. The criteria for this list is as follows. Always reliable, never in need of tender loving care, flawless function. My partial list is as follows:

Glock 17 and Glock 19 pistols with FML pre ban mags
Remington 870 (vang comp'ed, trijicon night sights, surefire 6v)
Casio G-Shock watch (original version)
Surefire E2E HA
Leatherman Supertool
Eagle Industries A-III day pack
Nalgene 32 oz. wide mouth bottles
Busse Battle Mistress Straight handle satin finish
etc. etc. etc.

Now its your turn. Remember the criteria. NO B.S. gear only. This is stuff you actually get dirty and beat up from time to time.

Kevin

Glocks and Trace Rinaldi's are at the top! My best friend reports excellant service from a CRK Shadow IV in IRAQ! Modern bolt action rifles, wheelguns.......

Good hand tools (Snap-On, Proto, Craftsman).

Soft gear - the premium brands. Beat the hell out of LOWE Special Expedition pack for 6 months and still looks new - awesome pack for harsh use. Camelbak Military line gear is right there too!

here are some more items for the list:

Military duct tape (100 mph+)
Carhartt anything
Danner Ft. Lewis Boots
Shakespeare Ugly sticks
pakistan made knives (just wanted to see if anyone was paying attention)

For clothing gear it'd most def have to be jeans or military surplus BDU's. Cant beat a BDU for gear storage, and long lasting.

HK USP, Benelli Nova (I also have a 870 but it has been giving me some cycling problems lately) Swamp Rat Battle Rat, Spec Ops Brand “T.H.E. backpack” or my Jandd Mountaineering backpacking pack (don’t know the model name, but it is the toughest pack I have seen), Nalgene wide mouths, and gaz stove

You're probably using your gear under tougher conditions than me. For regular urban carry with no babying:

Photon II light
Anything by Victorinox or Spyderco
Platypus bags
Topeak Alien (multi-tool for bicyclists)

Can I count the frames on my glasses? They've been sat on and slept in, and I wear them shooting and paddling. Nice internal springs, reasonably priced and have never caused me any trouble at all. Brand is CW Bliss.

Danner Arcadias
Surefire (insert model)
Glocks
Ruger 10/22 and MKII
Thorlo Combat Boot Socks
Doc Martens
Bates Falcons
Teva Sandals
Seiko Watches
Eagle Gear (AIII, Duffles, Notebook Case, it's my luggage OK)
Royal Robins 511s
Wilderness Instructors Belts
Blade Tech gear
Leatherman (customer service rocks)
Benchmade (customer service rocks)

Inova X5T
Spyderco Chinook
BlackHawk Tactician (I know I may catch crap for that one, but it's served me well)
Samsung SPH-A460
any Rotring pen
any Fisher Space pen

Looks like Glocks are rampant here.

I'll add my Glock 22(sadly no pre-ban mags yet)
Mossberg 590(blued, not parkerized... can't beat a bayo lug tho!)
Surefire E2 and 8X
Photon 2
BDU's are great for clothing
Yaesu VX-5 for comms(get yer ham license! it's easy!)
Any Spyderco knife(and a few Benchmades) - Military and Delica are my faves

Hmmm. My list is too short.

My urban ranger top gear:

- Nokia Cell Phone (have dropped multiple times, some on hard surface)
- CRK Mnandi (looks like [is] a Gent's knife, built and cuts like a Sebenza)
- ARC AAA (rugged, waterproof and reliable with multi-hour run time)
- Photon II (small and convenient for quick one-hand operation)
- Spyderco Necklace Knife (on my keychain, super small and light, cuts great; it's goes to most places I go where I can't take my Mnandi)

I'll second the Rinaldi's. :D

I'd also have to include my Surefire E2e, HI khukuris, Swamp Rat Battle Rat, SPEC-OPS Pack Rat, sheath, and THE Wallet, SOG Powerlock multitool, Arc AAA, Doc Marten's boots, and who would have though, my Jansport backpacks! (great value at $20)

I would also include my Maxpedition Thermite Versapack, but I haven't gotten to use it hard yet. :)

I really need to get myself a nice backpack (ie. Maxpedition, SOE, Eagle, etc), a couple Nalgene bottles, and a nice shotgun...
