Good Evening Fellow Hogs,

In life, sometimes we don't get what we want -- and we have to made do with what we have. Since Jerry has stood me up -- and left me all alone like a sad young girl waiting for her date on Prom night, only to realize he's not coming --- I have decided to make him jealous. Despite his dashing good looks and impressive skills in knife design and production -- he hasn't released a Busse folder as a production item. So since he's leaving me hanging -- I'm going to the Prom with some one else. Who you might ask? Well I'm going to the Prom with Kershaw, Buck, Zero Tolerance, Benchmade, and Spyderco. Since Jerry has stood all of us up -- show me your new Prom dates -- Show me your Top 7 Favorite EDC Folders --- (Don't worry Jerry we still secretly wish we were hand in hand with a Busse folder) ;-)

I like this one;

Man, I'd really like to get my hands on one of those Rat Traps one day. They look pretty agreeable to the palm.

The Rat Trap was a Bussekin design manufactured by Blade-Tech.
I would look at it as a legitimate Busse folder myself.

I do not want Busse to make a folder.. Period...

They make make amazing fixed blades.. The end....

I guess -- but I'm still holding out for an in-house Busse folder made of INFI that'll be available on their site for an extended period :)

They do make amazing fixed blades -- but that doesn't mean they can't dominate the folder market. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm though ;)

Dominating the folding market is another genre.. I Love Busse knives and just recently ordered a few..

Then again.. I dont know.. If MR Busse want's to produce a folding knife, he's more than welcome..

I am so mad that Jerry has not offered a folder that even if he did now, I'd NEVER get one. NEVER!!!
That's just not true. :D

Lol --- it's hard to stay mad at Jerry --- it's even harder to boycott Busse/Bussekin Products

It would take a pretty special blade to get my small Sebenza out of my pocket. Folders are a compromise knife by definition. They are never going to be as strong or as trust worthy as a fixed blade. To approach the safety and strength of a fixed blade, a folder would have to be massively over built and thus no longer enjoy the carryability of a normal folder.

INFI in a folder would be over kill IMO. It would be nice, but the advantages of INFI really wouldn't mean much over a good stainless when it comes to a folder. I've chipped a fixed blade several times, in fact that's what eventually led me to Busse knives. I have yet to chip a Busse. In all my years of using a folding knife, I've never chipped one, no matter what steel it was.

IMO, if Busse tried to translate what they make and what they're all about into a folder, I'm not sure it would work. I would most certainly be interested to see what they could come up with if they came at a folder fresh and with a different mission in mind. ZT knives did the whole really strong folder thing and IMO, their folders leave a lot to be desired. The concept of a beefy tank like folder just doesn't work for me.
