Who makes normal carbon steel daggers?
Symmetrical, and not very large oldschool daggers constructed like broadswords as you would find on kult o' athena
Something you could put in a large pocket, less than about 8inch/20cm blades
I can only think of the scrapyard ... thing with a skeleton handle
I could list about twentyfive different stainless daggers right off the top of my head right now
I like my steel tough and rusty

PS
Oh look, i found this very nice O1 chunk

Just remembered the old kershaw lump handle dagger

the production version of the Ag Russel sting is Pretty good once you reprofile it's edge.
Cold steel would be a place to look they do cheaper knives in 1055.

though if you need a tool I would go for something like a bk 11. (not a dagger)
If you are not planning on using it as a tool stainless/carbon/sharpened stick there's little difference.

The CRKT Sting comes to mind. 1050 steel run in the mid-50s, I believe. Can't come up with anything else off the top of my head.

The fairbairn + sykes its still made in sheffield uk . 1085 steel . Google it i am sure you will be able to get one

DaveWenger made a ringed spike (dagger with a finger hole at end of handle) for me, made out of Cru Forge V. He's a member here and seems to be a user of mostly carbon steel. Btw, his work is outstanding.

TOPS MAK 7, Ranger's Edge or ranger short if you are looking for something for pocket carry. Lone Rider is also close enough.
